Collect Available Gems Before Buying More Rolls

Clover Legends gems are used for grimoire rolls and can come from reward claims, higher-rarity chests, and seasonal reward tiers. Start your Clover Legends gems plan by collecting eligible rewards already on the account, then decide how many rolls you can afford before opening the grimoire menu.

Gems are separate from Yul, the regular currency used in the material shop and visible Forge recipes. A large Yul balance does not automatically pay a Gem-priced roll, and a reward that supplies race rerolls is not a deposit into your Gem balance.

In CHALLS's September 15 walkthrough at 6:26, the creator spends 100 Gems on a grimoire spin. That gives a concrete budgeting example, while the price shown in your own roll menu remains the amount to use if it changes.

Source or balanceWhat it provides in the walkthroughsHow to treat it
GemsCurrency spent on a grimoire rollSet a roll budget
YulRegular currency used for materials and craftingKeep a separate crafting budget
Race rerollsAttempts in the race systemDo not count them as grimoire-roll currency
Chest itemsContainers opened for their contentsOpen before counting any resulting Gems
Assignment StarsSeasonal progressionReach a Gem tile, then claim that reward

The distinction becomes useful when several reward popups appear together. Read what increased rather than assuming every purple icon, chest, or reroll token serves the same purpose.

Start With Reward Claims You Already Qualify For

The Free Rewards area separates Playtime, Daily, Discord, and Mystery Grimoire rewards. Only some of these are Gem sources. A Mystery Grimoire reward gives a book-related item; it should not be added to a Gem-income estimate as though you received its imagined purchase price in currency.

CHALLS shows the reward tabs at 1:02–2:18. In that session, a Daily claim awards 120 Gems and the Discord reward is described as 320 Gems. Read your own Daily tile to see the amount currently available.

ItzVexo's September 16 guide at 2:07 demonstrates the Discord claim flow: join the game's server, enter your Discord username in the field, and claim the reward. The reward confirmation shows 320 Gems in that footage.

Use the community links connected to the official Clover Legends experience when completing a game reward. The opening giveaway promotions in some YouTube guides are the creators' offers, not an extra step required by the game's reward menu.

For Clover Legends gems, reward eligibility matters more than how many claim buttons you can see. A Discord reward marked Claimed belongs to the balance you have already collected. Similarly, a code already redeemed by your account should not be included in the next roll budget.

Collect the eligible claims, note the new Gem balance, and only then return to spending decisions. This keeps a planned roll count grounded in currency you actually have rather than a total assembled from every reward mentioned in a video.

If a reward does not appear, inspect its requirement and the current claim status before repeating the process. For a Discord field, use the requested Discord username rather than assuming your Roblox display name is interchangeable. For a timer-based reward, distinguish waiting for eligibility from failing to claim an already unlocked milestone.

Use Chests and Seasonal Rewards as Part of Normal Play

Obey's chest explanation at 2:23 describes Common, Rare, Legendary, and Mythic chests, with materials going into the inventory after opening. He identifies Legendary and Mythic chests as Gem sources.

That makes chest rewards useful alongside ordinary quest progression. Open the chests you earn, add the resulting Gems to your balance, and budget the next rolls from that new total. Keep questing and chest rewards in the same routine so collection also develops your character.

Open chest rewards during a break in combat. Materials can also help the current grimoire or an accessory, so a chest may advance your character even when the result is not another roll. That is a better way to evaluate it than treating every non-Gem item as a failed reward.

The Clover Legends gems available through Season I provide another concrete example. In Obey's late-track view at 4:47, Tier 48 displays 375 Gems on the Free Pass and 1,200 Gems on the Crown Pass.

Gem-related activityImmediate taskFollow-through needed
Legendary or Mythic chestObtain and open the chestRead the actual reward and balance change
Free Pass Gem tileEarn enough assignment Stars for its tierClaim the eligible free-row reward
Crown Pass Gem tileMeet the paid-track and tier requirementsEvaluate the purchase separately from free rewards
Enemy assignmentComplete the specified combat objectiveClaim Stars before expecting seasonal progress
Chest-opening assignmentOpen the chest rarity named by the taskClaim the task reward and inspect the season track

Stars are not Gems, even when the task eventually helps you reach a Gem tile. The sequence is assignment completion, Star collection, tier progress, and reward claiming. Skipping those distinctions can make it look as though a task failed to award currency when it was never a direct Gem reward.

Choose seasonal overlap when it fits the route you already want to play. A task that asks for enemies on your current island can support both character progress and the pass. A distant or difficult objective may not be a sensible detour just because a Gem reward exists somewhere later on the track.

The Crown reward is also not automatically free income. Compare the paid offer and what you can reach before the season ends. Buying access only to pursue a faraway Gem tile is a different decision from collecting a free reward you have already earned.

Give Your Roll Budget a Stopping Point

The purpose of a Clover Legends gems budget is to preserve choices. Decide the maximum amount you want to spend in the current session, then divide it by the live roll price. Stop at that limit even if the last result is disappointing.

Using the 100-Gem price shown by CHALLS, the arithmetic is straightforward:

Gem budget at a 100-Gem roll priceMaximum whole rollsGems left within that budget
320320
50050
750750
1,000100

The table gives you a hard spending limit. Read any odds or guarantee displayed by the current roll system separately, and keep the limit after a disappointing result. A budget is most useful when you decide it before the excitement of opening another book.

Before spending, identify what you want a replacement book to improve. Do you want an attack pattern you enjoy more, a different range, or another combat style? A vague desire for something rarer can consume the whole balance without giving you a clear stopping decision.

Your existing book has progress available without another spin. The official game description states that Book Levels 10 and 20 unlock new spells, while awakening uses gathered materials and boss Spell Pages. If you have not tried the current book's later attacks, developing it can be the next useful step rather than spending more Clover Legends gems immediately.

After a roll, separate the result from the decision to equip it. CHALLS receives Fire in the demonstrated sequence and then discusses staying with his existing setup. You do not need to abandon a workable combat loop simply because you paid for a different result.

A short spending routine helps:

  • Claim eligible rewards and read the actual Gem balance.
  • Choose a spending cap before starting rolls.
  • Read the current price and any displayed conditions.
  • Stop at the chosen cap or an acceptable result.
  • Return to quests and book progression instead of chasing losses.

For Clover Legends gems, the most useful balance is one that supports a decision you understand. Collecting currency is only half the process; knowing when not to turn it into another random result is what keeps the next session flexible.

Clover Legends Gems FAQ

What are Gems used for?

The guides directly demonstrate Gems being spent on grimoire rolls. CHALLS shows a 100-Gem spin in his September 15 session. Check your current roll menu for the active price and distinguish that balance from Yul, race rerolls, and seasonal Stars.

Which chests give Gems?

Obey identifies Legendary and Mythic chests as Gem sources. Open the chest, read the reward confirmation, and use the new balance when planning additional rolls. That also gives you a chance to sort the material rewards before returning to combat.

Does the Discord reward give 320 Gems every day?

The walkthroughs show a 320-Gem Discord reward, but that does not make it a daily payout. Daily rewards are a separate tab. Treat each reward according to its own eligibility and claim status rather than adding the Discord amount to every session's expected income.

Should I spend all my Gems on a better book?

Set a limit first and develop a workable book alongside rolling. Book Level spell unlocks and awakening are separate progression options. A Clover Legends gems budget should support the combat style you want without assuming that the next random result will solve every progression problem.
